I'm not thrilled that we didn't get him - but then for the money he got I'm thinking we can spend it elsewhere (won't say wisely yet, though).

The Juan Pierre signing is a nice replacement for Patterson. The Marlins have done well with our minor league pitures in the past so lets hope we didn't just give up the next Dontrelle again, though. Oh and he's only got one year left which is somewhat concerning - but I believe he can be kept a second by opting to make him arbitration eligible.
Anyway - good to see some more action by the Cubs and Hendry. By the way - did Hendry balloon up 100 lbs this last season??
